Worthington family papers, 1801-[18--?].

Thomas Worthington family papers include 2 diagrams of a plat of land sold by J.T. Worthington to D. Adams and a two-page statement of accounts for Thomas Worthington from 1815. Correspondence consists of a letter from Abraham Baldwin, U.S. Senator from Georgia, to Thomas Worthington on February 12, 1801 regarding the presidential election; John Gano's letter of 1818 to Governor Thomas Worthington resigning the office of Major General of the First Division of Ohio Militia; and a letter from Rufus King at Kenyon College to his uncle, James T. Worthington, describing tensions between students from the North and the South. The latter letter of Rufus King, is dated "Feb. 5th 1826" in a different handwriting and ink from that used in the body of the letter, but King was enrolled at Kenyon [1830] at age 13. His junior year he transferred to Harvard where he graduated in 1839.
